To use Openline in Cuba, buy a plan in the Openline app or website before you fly — the eSIM installs immediately and activates the moment you land and enable Data Roaming. In Cuba, ETECSA is the only network and coverage abroad is complicated by US sanctions; Openline works in Havana and Varadero but expect slow speeds and no VoLTE.

Steps

  1. Open the Openline app and search for "Cuba".
  2. Pick a data plan sized for the length of your stay — most travellers pick a 7- or 30-day option.
  3. Pay with card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or supported crypto.
  4. Install the eSIM immediately via the one-tap sheet (iPhone) or QR code (Android).
  5. On arrival, turn Data Roaming on for the Openline line.

Local details

The regulated currency is CUP, but you always pay in USD or EUR when buying Openline. Rates listed in the app already include local taxes and roaming fees, so there is nothing added at the border.

Still stuck?

Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:

When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
