Openline on Apple Watch Ultra 2
The Ultra 2's cellular radio uses your primary carrier's Watch companion plan. Openline does not offer a paired-Watch option.
What actually works
- Keep your Watch paired to a phone that has Openline as its active data line. Any Watch traffic (notifications, weather, streaming to AirPods) flows over the phone's Openline data.
- On Wi-Fi at your hotel/home, the Watch works independently as usual.
- In-store LTE watches with a home-carrier companion plan will still work with that carrier — but you may pay roaming fees while abroad.
Why we don't sell a paired-Watch plan
Openline is a data-only travel eSIM. Watch companion plans require SMS + voice provisioning tied to a specific IMEI-registered device. Adding those requires operator-side infrastructure we don't currently operate. Follow our roadmap for updates.
Still stuck?
Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:
- Live chat — inside the Openline app or at openline.com
- Email — ask@openline.com
- WhatsApp — wa.me/15554842461
- Messenger — m.me/askopenline
- Contact form — openline.com/contact
- Social DMs — @askopenline on X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok
When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
