If you have bars but no data in Papua New Guinea, the fix is almost always the Data Roaming toggle. On the Openline line — not your home line — turn Data Roaming ON in your phone's cellular settings. Then confirm Openline is selected as Cellular Data.
Full checklist
- Data Roaming ON for the Openline line.
- Cellular Data set to Openline.
- Airplane mode off, then briefly toggle it on and off to force a fresh registration.
- Restart the phone if the toggle doesn't take effect after 60 seconds.
- APN: leave it blank on iPhone; on Android it should auto-provision but you can set it to
openlineif the app tells you to.
If none of the above works, you're probably in a partner-coverage dead zone — digicel png and bmobile-vodafone carry us; lte in port moresby, lae, mount hagen and rabaul; highlands can be 3g. Move a few hundred meters and try again.

When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
