If your home carrier is EU-based and Bahrain is an EU/EEA member, you're already inside Roam-Like-At-Home and don't need Openline for data. Everywhere else, Openline is almost always dramatically cheaper. In Bahrain, Batelco and STC Bahrain both accept us and offer 5G in Manama and the resort strips.
Rough comparison
- US/UK/AU home carriers charging daily-pass roaming typically cost $10–15/day — Openline plans in Bahrain start at a fraction of that.
- EU home carriers outside the EU zone typically fall back to per-MB pricing that can hit €10+/MB — Openline avoids all of it.
- Chinese, Indian, and Latin American home carriers vary widely; even so, an Openline plan is usually cheaper and doesn't require you to opt in to a roaming pack at home.
Openline runs alongside your home line — you keep your number for SMS/2FA and use Openline for data.
