Openline works fully on iOS 17.4, which enabled EU third-party app stores but is unrelated to eSIM — however it did quietly fix a Cellular Data Switching bug. Everything in our standard install and activation flow behaves as documented — QR scan or tap-to-install, Data Roaming toggle on the Openline line, Cellular Data set to Openline while abroad.

What's specific about iOS 17.4

  • The Cellular Settings pane looks slightly different from earlier iOS, but the labels stay the same: Cellular Data, Default Voice Line, and Data Roaming are all where you expect them.
  • Dual-line handling is more forgiving on iOS 17.4: if your home line loses signal for a moment, iOS keeps data flowing on the Openline line without a manual switch.
  • If you notice any regression specific to iOS 17.4, tell us the device model and the exact iOS build number — we escalate directly to our RSP partner for firmware-level triage.

Quick tips

  • Update to the latest patch of iOS 17.4 before travelling: cellular subsystems get quiet fixes on nearly every minor release.
  • If you rely on Wi-Fi calling on your home line, re-toggle it after any iOS update — the carrier registration sometimes drops silently.

Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:

When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
