No. One of Openline's founding principles is: an eSIM should be as private as an internet purchase, not a local telco contract.

We accept anonymous crypto payments and never ask for a passport, government ID, or address verification for standard travel plans.

Exceptions:

  • Some countries (China mainland, UAE, Turkey, others) legally require real-name registration for local numbers — those are the local-carrier rules, not Openline's, and only apply if you use a service that provisions a local phone number.
  • Enterprise / IoT customers with large-volume orders may go through KYB for anti-fraud reasons.

Still stuck?

Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:

When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
