The Microsoft Surface Pro X has a built-in WWAN modem with eSIM support. Openline installs directly through Windows 11's cellular settings.
Install steps
- Connect the Microsoft Surface Pro X to Wi-Fi.
- Open Settings → Network & Internet → Cellular → Manage eSIM profiles.
- Click Add profile → Let me add a profile manually.
- Paste the SM-DP+ address and Activation Code from your Openline confirmation email.
- Save and turn the profile on.
Notes for Microsoft Surface Pro X
- Enterprise customers can push Openline profiles silently via Microsoft Intune (see the MDM articles in this KB).
- The eSIM survives Windows updates but not full "Reset this PC" flows — reinstall from openline.com afterwards.
- If cellular doesn't come up after install, restart the modem: Settings → Network → Cellular → toggle Cellular off/on.

Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:
- Live chat — inside the Openline app or at openline.com
- Email — ask@openline.com
- WhatsApp — wa.me/15554842461
- Messenger — m.me/askopenline
- Contact form — openline.com/contact
- Social DMs — @askopenline on X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok
When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
