Corporate and office Wi-Fi often blocks non-approved apps at the DNS, firewall, or proxy layer. This is a corporate IT policy — not an Openline problem — but here's how to work around it.
Fastest fix
Switch to mobile data or a personal hotspot to sign in and buy your plan. Once signed in and installed, the eSIM itself works over any network including corporate Wi-Fi.
If you need it to work on corporate Wi-Fi
- Ask IT to whitelist openline.com, api.openline.com, and the SM-DP+ hostname you'll see during install (starts with rsp.).
- Some corporate networks require you to install a root certificate before HTTPS works — check with IT.
- A Zero Trust / SASE proxy (Zscaler, Netskope, Cato) usually needs an explicit allow rule for eSIM provisioning traffic.
- If your company allows split-tunnel VPN, exclude Openline traffic from the VPN entirely.
After you install
Once the eSIM is installed and activated, the Openline app is optional. You can manage everything from openline.com in any browser — including on your corporate laptop.
Every Openline plan is delivered as a purchase code (format OL-4F7X-9K2Q-A3M8). You can redeem it in three ways: (1) inside the Openline app, (2) signed into your account at openline.com, or (3) anonymously at openline.com/start with just the code — no account needed.
Still stuck?
Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:
- Live chat — inside the Openline app or at openline.com
- Email — ask@openline.com
- WhatsApp — wa.me/15554842461
- Messenger — m.me/askopenline
- Contact form — openline.com/contact
- Social DMs — @askopenline on X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok
When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
