From "tap to buy" to "connected to the internet" is usually under two minutes on iPhone and under four minutes on Android. The eSIM profile downloads in seconds; the slow part is your phone registering with a local network once you land.
Timing details
- Purchase: <30 seconds (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or crypto)
- Install: 20–60 seconds — a one-tap sheet on iOS 17.5+ or a QR scan on Android
- First network attach on arrival: 15 seconds to 3 minutes — depends on the country and how busy the tower is
- Data working: the moment your phone shows 4G/5G on the Openline line
If activation takes longer than 5 minutes after landing, toggle airplane mode once to force a fresh registration.
