We see the redemption event (device model, approximate location from network attach) but not personally identifying information unless the redeemer is signed into an Openline account.
What we log for every redemption
- Timestamp
- Device model (from the eSIM attach ceremony)
- The plan and code
- The network / country the eSIM first attached to
What we don't log
- The redeemer's name unless they signed into an account
- Their email unless they signed into an account
- Location beyond the first-network cell tower
Legal-request handling
We only share redemption metadata with authorities in response to lawful requests — see our transparency report and "How does Openline handle law-enforcement requests?".
Still stuck?
Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:
- Live chat — inside the Openline app or at openline.com
- Email — ask@openline.com
- WhatsApp — wa.me/15554842461
- Messenger — m.me/askopenline
- Contact form — openline.com/contact
- Social DMs — @askopenline on X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok
When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
