Purchase codes are bearer tokens — anyone with the code can redeem it into an eSIM. Treat them like gift-card numbers or airline vouchers.

Best practices

  • Don't post codes publicly on social media, screenshots, or forums.
  • Don't share codes over unsecured channels if the code is valuable (large data plans, business plans).
  • If you keep codes in a password manager or notes app, use one that encrypts at rest.
  • For gift use, hand the code to the recipient in a private channel and consider deleting the message once they've redeemed.

What to do if a code was leaked

If a code was accidentally exposed before you redeemed it and you suspect someone else may claim it, redeem it immediately yourself — even into an unused device or an anonymous account — to consume the token before someone else can. Openline cannot reverse a completed redemption.

Still stuck?

Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:

When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
