If they redeem it before you do, they get the plan. Openline cannot reverse a completed redemption.
Prevention
- Redeem unused codes promptly if you're not planning to gift or hoard them.
- Store codes in encrypted storage (password manager, secure notes) — not in a plain-text file or an email inbox synced across devices.
Recovery
If you notice a suspicious redemption on your account:
- Change your Openline password immediately.
- Enable 2FA under Account → Security if you haven't.
- Contact ask@openline.com with the code(s) affected and approximate time of theft. We investigate but can only refund/re-issue in the narrow cases covered by our refund policy.
Why we can't just recall
The eSIM profile is provisioned by our GSMA-accredited RSP partner the moment the code is redeemed. Once a profile is downloaded to a device we cannot force-uninstall it remotely — that would break basic device sovereignty.
Still stuck?
Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:
- Live chat — inside the Openline app or at openline.com
- Email — ask@openline.com
- WhatsApp — wa.me/15554842461
- Messenger — m.me/askopenline
- Contact form — openline.com/contact
- Social DMs — @askopenline on X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok
When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
