Some banking apps refuse to work over networks they consider "unusual" — including foreign carriers or perceived VPNs. The problem is on the bank's side, not Openline's.
Fixes to try
- Open the bank's app on Wi-Fi first, complete any 2FA challenge, then switch back to Openline data.
- Whitelist the app in any content-blocker or MDM profile you might have on the phone.
- Contact the bank's support and mention you're travelling; some banks silently flag foreign SIMs and require a manual verification.
If a specific bank consistently blocks Openline, tell us. We track this and occasionally get IP ranges re-classified with the local partner network.
Still stuck?
Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:
- Live chat — inside the Openline app or at openline.com
- Email — ask@openline.com
- WhatsApp — wa.me/15554842461
- Messenger — m.me/askopenline
- Contact form — openline.com/contact
- Social DMs — @askopenline on X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok
When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
