Reinstalling means moving the plan to a new device — either your old device (after a wipe or profile deletion) or a completely different phone. Openline keeps the original purchase code on your account so you can re-issue a fresh install any time.
Steps
- Sign in at openline.com or in the app.
- Open My Codes (or My Plans for already-redeemed codes with data left).
- Tap Reinstall next to the plan. We generate a new install token bound to the same underlying purchase code.
- Scan the new QR on the target device or tap the one-tap link.
Notes
- Reinstalls are free.
- Reinstalling moves the plan to the new device — you cannot use it on two phones at once. The old device's eSIM profile is invalidated the moment the new one activates.
- Data already used against the plan does not come back.
- If the code was never redeemed, you don't need to "reinstall" — just redeem it fresh through any of the three normal channels.
Still stuck?
Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:
- Live chat — inside the Openline app or at openline.com
- Email — ask@openline.com
- WhatsApp — wa.me/15554842461
- Messenger — m.me/askopenline
- Contact form — openline.com/contact
- Social DMs — @askopenline on X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok
When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
