Some iPhones let you set the 5G preference per line; others force one global setting. The relevant menu is Settings → Cellular → the Openline line → Voice & Data.

What to check

  • The Voice & Data menu must offer 5G On or 5G Auto. If it only shows LTE, either 5G isn't available in your current country on Openline's partner, or your iPhone model doesn't support 5G in this region.
  • US iPhones bought abroad may show mmWave 5G options that don't work outside the US — pick 5G Standalone or 5G Auto instead.

If 5G Auto is on and you're still on 4G, that just means the partner network's cell here isn't 5G-capable. It happens; the phone will pick up 5G automatically when you move.

Still stuck?

Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:

When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
