The path between your phone and Openline's infrastructure is encrypted like any modern cellular data connection:
- Between your phone and the partner radio: standard AKA/EAP-AKA' authentication and cellular ciphers (256-bit on 5G, 128-bit on LTE).
- Between the partner core and Openline's routing infrastructure: TLS inside GRX/IPX backhaul.
- Application-layer traffic (HTTPS websites, WhatsApp, Signal, etc.) is encrypted end-to-end by the app itself, on top of everything above.
What that means
Openline sees byte counts, not content. We can't inspect the traffic; the partner network can only see aggregate volumes; the app-layer encryption is between you and the destination service. There is no man-in-the-middle at Openline.
Still stuck?
Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:
- Live chat — inside the Openline app or at openline.com
- Email — ask@openline.com
- WhatsApp — wa.me/15554842461
- Messenger — m.me/askopenline
- Contact form — openline.com/contact
- Social DMs — @askopenline on X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok
When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
