An activation code — sometimes called AC_Token in GSMA specifications — is a short string embedded in your QR code that unlocks *your* profile on the SM-DP+ server. Format: 1$smdp.example.com$XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

Single-use, on purpose

The GSMA specification requires the SM-DP+ to invalidate an activation code the moment a device successfully downloads a profile with it. This prevents the same profile from being installed on multiple devices — an eSIM is device-bound by design.

If you accidentally scan the QR on the wrong phone, sign in at openline.com and hit Reinstall eSIM to get a fresh code. The old one is dead the moment it's consumed.

Still stuck?

Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:

When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
