The eUICC is the physical chip embedded in your phone that stores eSIM profiles — the modern equivalent of a plastic SIM card. It's a small piece of secure silicon, GSMA-certified, that talks to the modem.
Capacity in practice
- iPhones (XR and newer): cache up to 8 eSIM profiles simultaneously; 2 can be active at once. iPhone 14 and newer in the US have no physical SIM slot at all.
- Pixel 3 and newer: 5–8 profiles cached, 2 active.
- Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer: 5+ profiles cached, 2 active.
- Windows laptops with WWAN: typically 4–8 profiles.
You can add and remove profiles freely; the chip re-uses freed memory. Openline never occupies more than one slot per plan.

When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
