MCC (Mobile Country Code) and MNC (Mobile Network Code) together identify a specific carrier in a specific country. For example, 310 260 is T-Mobile US; 234 15 is Vodafone UK.
How Openline uses them
When your phone attaches to a partner network abroad, it reports the local MCC/MNC. Openline's multi-Tier-1 routing may hand you between partners over the course of your trip — you'll see the network name in the status bar change, but the Openline data plan is continuous.
If you're a network engineer curious about which partner you're on: Settings → About phone → SIM status on Android or Settings → General → About → Carrier on iPhone. That's the current MCC/MNC.
