APN (Access Point Name) is the DNS-like handle your device uses to route data through a specific mobile network. Older SIMs required manual APN entry; modern eSIMs including Openline auto-configure it during install.
When you might need to touch it
- On some Android builds after a full-phone reset, the APN doesn't reapply. Fix: create a new APN, name it Openline, set the APN field to
openline, typedefault, supl, dun. - iPhones never require manual APN for Openline; the profile carries it.
- If nothing else works, factory-reset the eSIM profile from openline.com — a fresh reinstall re-applies the APN too.

When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
