Wi-Fi calling lets your phone route calls and SMS through Wi-Fi instead of a cellular tower. It's a feature of your home carrier's line, not of Openline.
How to use it while abroad
- Keep Wi-Fi calling enabled on your home carrier's line (Settings → Cellular → your home line → Wi-Fi Calling).
- Connect the phone to any Wi-Fi.
- Calls to your home number ring on the phone as if you were home; SMS delivery works.
Openline handles the mobile data at travel prices. Wi-Fi calling handles voice/SMS on your home number over Wi-Fi. It's the cleanest split for international travel.
Still stuck?
Reach Openline support 24/7 through any of these channels:
- Live chat — inside the Openline app or at openline.com
- Email — ask@openline.com
- WhatsApp — wa.me/15554842461
- Messenger — m.me/askopenline
- Contact form — openline.com/contact
- Social DMs — @askopenline on X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok
When you write in, include your purchase code (the OL-… code we emailed you) and, if the eSIM is already installed, its ICCID (Settings → Cellular → tap the Openline line). That's enough for us to find your plan and diagnose without back-and-forth.
